Florida's Skunk Ape

The Skunk Ape is what Florida calls it's Bigfoot. Scott Marlowe is considered the foremost expert when it comes to the Skunk Ape. He shared his findings and theories from his research and expeditions spanning over 35 years.

The show started off with Scott telling us how he got Florida Keys Community College to accept cryptozoology into it's curriculum. It is an internet based class that took off with huge success.

Scott described the difference and the similarities between the Bigfoot, Skunk Ape and the Swamp Ape. He pointed out that his research revolved more around the Swamp Ape which was more frequently sighted in Florida. Scott explained how there seemed to be 3 major hot spots for sightings. He also shared stories of some of the evidence found around these hot spots and others.

Excited about an upcoming Bigfoot Bootcamp, Scott explained how this would prepare those who signed up to look for the signs, record evidence and all other know how you need to track the elusive creature. The camp even offered an expedition as part of the training.
